SEMRÉH is the third album by Ryu, The Runner, and its purpose is to further solidify the artist’s career. Ryu brings a new, contemporary, and provocative sound, making an impact and becoming a reference in both music and attitude, as well as aesthetics.
Inspired by the allegory of Hermes, the album traverses Ryu’s experiences, moving between the realms of life just as Hermes navigated the Olympus and the underworld. Hermes, besides being known as the running god, was the messenger and the patron of thieves, tricksters, and scammers.
Just as Hermes never stopped running and moving, Ryu plans the same for his career, always thinking about the next place he will run to deliver his message.
